About Us
COACH FERRELL has been coaching at the Division-1 level for over 13 years, with a proven talent in player development. He has played an integral role in training numerous outstanding players, some of which went on to play in the NBA and overseas.
As head coach at Presbyterian College, he developed the Big South Conference Freshman of the year Rayshon Harrison, as well as a Big South All American academic team honoree Owen McCormack. Previously as lead assistant at the College of Charleston, he worked with several standout players, 3 of which went on to play in the NBA. These include 2019 Colonial Athletic Association First Team All-Conference selections Jarrell Brantley and Grant Riller, as well as one of the best players in school history Joe Chealey, who garnered several awards during his time at CofC, including multiple CAA and NABC All-Conference honors, the Lou Henson All-American team.
Coach Ferrell lead Presbyterian to a clean sweep at the UNO Classic this past year, and previously assisted the 2017-2018 College of Charleston Cougars in winning the CAA Men’s Basketball Championship, earning their first trip to the NCAA Tournament since 1999.
While accolades speak for themselves, Coach Ferrell is most proud of his relentless commitment to developing the total player from the inside out. Teaching is his true passion, and he is invested in the overall well being of each student athlete under his care. His patience, love for basketball, and motivating expertise give him the perfect skillset to help players develop a lasting love for the game, and achieve well beyond expectations.
